About Me
Marko Kalc was born 18.03.1989. in Pakrac, Croatia.
His first contact with theatre was in 2007. when he attended a fourmonthly school of acting in an amateur drama theatre "Kulturni centar Kalvarija" in Rijeka and soon played in several comedy and drama plays.
He started his dance education in „Prostor Plus“(Artistic Organisation for Performing Arts) in Rijeka, and in 2008. he became their member.
He continued his education on many dance and theatre workshops, and programs in Croatia and abroad.
He attended MAPA (Moving Academy for Performing Arts), Nomad Dance Academy, Lessac Summer Intensive Program, and he got a scholarship for the "Shakespeare and Greek Theatre Summer School" (Royal Conservatory of Scotland).
His first contact with the Hula Hoop was in 2010. when he learned from the world famous American hulahooper Karis Wilde.
He combined his dance technique with the Hula Hoop technique and developed his own style and soon he started to perform nationaly and internationaly.
He won several 1st prizes in Circus Open Stage competitions in Croatia. He also participated in the Croatian Supertalent show and performed as a guest in several Croatian TV shows as a hula hoop dancer.
In 2013. he became a member and a clowndoctor for „Red Noses Croatia“, organisation for clowndoctors that visit and entertain sick children and adults in hospitals. He found a lot of enjoynment and pleasure in the Red Noses work which developed him a lot as a performer.
He regurarly attends clown and physical comedy workshops that are organized by the Red Noses organisation.
Currently, he is working as an actor, hula hoop dancer and as a clown for the Red Noses organisation in Slovenia.
He is actively auditioning for commercial and tv work.
